The film is designed for post-unlimited-mimosa brunch laughs with friends. Drag Race took 18 seasons to find drag performers who can act in a feature, and the cast delivers. Leads Jujubee and Ginger Minj bring grounded energy to their roles. Supporting stars like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Joel McHale lean into slapstick and silly puns, even repeating the best jokes shamelessly.
Here’s the cynical truth: You don’t have to see Stop! That Train! to support the LGBTQIA+ community. And you don’t have to dismiss it because of RuPaul’s past.
