FIVE suspected drug personalities were arrested and at least P544 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) were seized in simultaneous operations in two different locations in Cavite on Thursday, June 2, 2022.The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Dominador Robasto Omega Jr. and Siegfred Omega Garcia were arrested during an operation in a residential house in a subdivision in Dasmariñas, Cavite around 8 a.m.Recovered from the suspects were more or less 60 kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of P408 million.Also seized were gallons of unknown chemicals, plastic containers, white crystalline substance, various drug paraphernalia, butane stove and other cooking equipment.PDEA agents also arrested Elaine Calusin Maningas, Ricardo Santiago Santillan and Laurel Salceda Dela Rosa in a subdivision in General Trias, Cavite.The suspects yielded more or less 20 kilograms of shabu valued around P136 million.The operations were led by PDEA with the assistance of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group.Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested persons.
