Paris prosecutors have disclosed that two additional individuals were charged last month, increasing the total number of suspects indicted in relation to the heist to four.

A total of seven arrests have been made concerning the renowned gallery, which was targeted on October 19 when a four-member group gained entry to the Louvre’s Apollo Gallery and absconded with jewels worth an estimated 88 million euros ($102 million).

The daytime raid concluded in under eight minutes.

Reports indicate that a 38-year-old woman, residing in the Paris suburb of La Courneuve, was recently taken into custody and charged with and criminal conspiracy with intent to commit a crime.

Additionally, a 37-year-old man was apprehended and faces charges of theft and criminal conspiracy, as per the same report.

The suspects, whose identities remain undisclosed, have both asserted their innocence, according to reports.

On Saturday, a magistrate judge ordered the two suspects to remain detained during the investigation, citing fears they might conspire with others to eliminate evidence, as reported by the outlet.

The 37-year-old man is reportedly familiar to for previous robbery offenses.

The two other suspects, apprehended earlier, are charged with criminal conspiracy and theft carried out by an organized criminal group.

Prosecutor Laure Beccuau stated that one suspect, a 34-year-old Algerian national residing in France since 2010, was caught at while attempting to escape to Algeria with a single-journey ticket.

Beccuau further noted that the 34-year-old, an Aubervilliers resident, had prior police records for traffic violations. Investigators reportedly identified on a scooter utilized during the getaway.

According to Beccuau, another suspect, a 39-year-old man also living in Aubervilliers, was arrested at his residence and possesses a history of numerous previous thefts.

Authorities have reportedly connected his DNA to a glass display case where the pilfered jewels were kept, as well as to various objects found at the crime scene.
