Instituto Terra, established by renowned Brazilian photographer Sebastiao Salgado and his wife Lélia Dluiz Wanick, has dedicated itself to environmental restoration since 1998. The organization has planted over 2.7 million trees in the Rio Doce Basin region of Brazil. Through their efforts, Instituto Terra has revived more than 550 acres of forest and revitalized 2,000 natural springs in the area. Currently, they are collaborating with local farmers to expand their restoration initiatives, aiming to revitalize even more land and waterways.
