Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Wilmington is pleased to announce the launch of several new initiatives aimed at enhancing community support and enriching the lives of individuals and families in Wilmington, Delaware. As a cornerstone of the local Jewish community for decades, JFS remains committed to its mission of providing social, emotional, and educational services that promote well-being and resilience.
The new initiatives include:
Expanded Counseling Services: JFS has increased its counseling services to meet the growing mental health needs of the community. With a team of licensed therapists, they offer individual, family, and group counseling to address a wide range of concerns.
Senior Support Programs: Recognizing the importance of supporting older adults, JFS has introduced programs tailored to meet the unique needs of seniors. This includes assistance with daily living, social engagement activities, and resources to help seniors age in place comfortably.
Community Outreach and Education: JFS is expanding its outreach efforts to educate the community on important topics such as mental health awareness, domestic violence prevention, and elder care. Emergency Assistance Fund: To provide immediate help to those facing financial hardships, JFS has established an Emergency Assistance Fund. This fund will assist individuals and families with basic needs such as food, housing, and utilities during times of crisis.
