PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. honored on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, all teachers who he said were “important drivers” of the nation.

In observation of National Teacher’s Day, Marcos expressed gratitude to the “many sacrifices” that teachers make to mold the students and prepare them for the future ahead of them.

He also acknowledged the teachers’ effort and “invaluable service” for the resumption of face-to-face classes amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I firmly believe that education is the bedrock of every prosperous society, and that those who dedicate their lives to teaching are important drivers of our nation,” he said in a statement.

“Today, we honor our dear educators across the country for ensuring our youth’s holistic development as they aspire to be agents of change within their respective communities and beyond,” he added.

Marcos expressed confidence that with the help of the educators, the Philippines will grow stronger “with every Filipino becoming more capable of building a better future for all.”

“May this celebration not only inspire present teachers as they continue their efforts in shaping the lives of our young learners, but also motivate those whose dream is to be such agents of genuine unity and empowerment,” he added. (SunStar Philippines)
