Authorities reported that two Hong Kong airport security officers were killed early Monday when a cargo jet, arriving from Dubai, veered off the runway during its landing and struck a patrol vehicle.
Both the Boeing 747 and the vehicle ultimately plunged into the sea in what is being called Hong Kong’s most significant airport disaster in decades, though all four crew members on board the aircraft escaped unharmed.
