Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Hubert Guevarra said they have yet to identify who will fill Angeles’ position, noting that her resignation only came earlier the day.
Reports said Angeles cited her health as the reason for her resignation.
Rumors about Angeles’ resignation surfaced last week.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin also confirmed the resignation of presidential appointee, Commission on Audit chairperson Jose Calida.
No further details yet on Calida’s resignation as of this posting Tuesday afternoon, October 4, 2022.
Angeles and Calida’s appointments were bypassed by the Commission on Appointments due to time constraint as they go on recess on October 1.
