In the survey conducted from October 23 to 27 among 1,200 adult respondents, Marcos and Duterte also got the same level of distrust at four percent, while the remaining 10 percent were “undecided.”
For the 86 percent who expressed trust in Marcos, 92 percent were from Mindanao, 87 percent from Visayas, 84 percent from balanced Luzon and 82 percent in the National Capital Region (NCR).
The survey showed that based on the socio-economic class, 90 percent of those who trusted Marcos were from Class E or the “poorest,” 87 percent belonged to Class D or “masa,” while he received the lowest trust rating from the class belonging to ABS or upper-to-middle class.
In terms of performance, 78 percent of the respondents said they were satisfied with Marcos, while five percent were not and the 18 percent were undecided.
Duterte, on the other hand, received the highest trust rating in Mindanao at 98 percent, 88 percent from Visayas, 83 percent in NCR and 81 percent in balanced Luzon.
Of the 86 percent who expressed trust on her, 92 percent were from the poorest class, 87 percent belonged to class D, while 78 percent from the upper-to-middle class.
Duterte also obtained the approval of 80 percent over her performance in the past three months since they took office while four percent expressed disapproval and 16 percent were undecided.
She got the highest nod on performance rating in Mindanao at 96 percent, but lowest in balanced Luzon at 71 percent.
Octa Research fellow Prof. Ranjit Rye said net rating 70 percent and above is already considered excellent.
The survey also showed the trust rating for Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri at 52 percent, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez at 38 percent and Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo at 24 percent.
Octa earlier reported that 85 percent of Filipino adults strongly agree that the country under the Marcos administration is headed in the right direction, with only six percent expressing disagreement.
Marcos described it as “very encouraging,” saying it is vital for government policies and programs to be felt by Filipinos across all socioeconomic classes. (SunStar Philippines)
