(UPDATED) More than 15 million individuals have either completed the two-dose regimen or received the single-shot vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), according to the National Covid-19 Vaccination Dashboard.

First dose inoculations, on the other hand, increased to more than 20.8 milion as of September 5, 2021.

Daily inoculations, however, have decelerated, reaching an average of only 391,367 a day in the last seven days based on the reports from 1,821 vaccination sites.

This is below the government’s target of 500,000 inoculations a day. The government earlier breached this target on July 28 and reached a high of 702,013 on August 3.

A total of 35,838,964 doses have been administered nationwide as of 6 p.m. of September 5. In the past week alone, which was the 27th week of implementation of the massive Covid-19 vaccination program, 2,739,572 doses were administered.

The dashboard showed that 15,033,354 individuals have been fully vaccinated while 20,805,610 have received the first dose.

The government implemented its massive vaccination program against Covid-19 on March 1, 2021, administering a total of 37,280 in the first week.

Eligible to receive the vaccine are priority groups A1 (healthcare workers), A2 (senior citizens), A3 (persons with comorbidities), A4 (frontliners in essential sectors) and A5 (indigent population).

As of September 5, 2,034,806 healthcare workers and other vaccinees under A1 have been fully vaccinated while 2,425,184 have received the first dose.

For A2, a total of 4,016,318 senior citizens have been fully vaccinated, including those who received a single-shot vaccine, which 3,427,089 received one dose.

A total of 5,286,401 persons with comorbidities under A3 have been fully vaccinated. First dose inoculations for this priority group reached 5,668,374.

For A4, 3,059,841 have completed two doses out of 7,154,799 who received the first dose.

Only 635,988 indigent individuals have been fully vaccinated out of 2,130,164 who received the first dose.

The Philippines has received a total of 52,792,130 doses of Covid-19 vaccines from various manufacturers.

The government is using vaccines from Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, Gamaleya (Sputnik V) and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson). (Marites Villamor-Ilano / SunStar Philippines)
