David said from 7.5 percent on November 19, the positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) has increased to 11.1 percent as of November 26, remaining under moderate risk.
Positivity rates in Batangas, Benguet, Bulacan, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kalinga, La Union and Pangasinan have also increased.
In the provinces of Albay, Bataan, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Isabela, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Quezon, Risal, Tarlac and Zambales, the positivity rates have decreased.
The provinces under high risk in terms of positivity rates were Albay, Benguet, Camarines Sur, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Kalinga, La Union, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac.
Positivity rate refers to the number of individuals testing positive for coronavirus after getting tested versus those who tested negative.
Over the past five days, the Department of Health (DOH) has been recording more than a thousand daily Covid-19 cases in the country.
The NCR had the most number of daily Covid-19 cases over the past two weeks with 3,874, followed by Calabarzon with 1,961 cases and Western Visayas with 1,293.
The DOH announced last week the detection of 14 cases of Omicron BQ.1, a sublineage of the highly transmissible BA.5 subvariant, which is currently the cause of increase of cases in the United States and Europe.
