(UPDATED) The Cessna plane that went missing in Isabela in January has already been found, the Isabela Incident Management Team (IMT) said Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Lawyer Constante Foronda, head of the IMT, said the plane was found in a mountainous area within the 20-kilometer radius of the Maconacon Airport, where Cessna plane RPC 1174 was heading to before it went missing on January 24.

He said none of the six passengers of the aircraft survived the crash.

Retrieval operation is now ongoing, but Foronda said it may take at least three days before the remains of the passengers can be brought down due to weather and dangerous terrain.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines will be in charge of the recovery of the ill-fated plane to conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash. (SunStar Philippines)
