THREE days after the Senate ordered his arrest, former presidential adviser for economic affairs Michael Yang faced the Senate blue ribbon committee virtually on Friday, September 10, 2021.

Yang, who was accompanied by an interpreter, said he is currently in the Dusit hotel in Davao City.

Also present during the resumption of the hearing into the deficiencies in the use of Department of Health (DOH) funds were Pharmally officials Mohit Dargani, Twinkle Dargani, Linconn Ong, Krizle Grace Mago and Justine Garado.

They were also ordered arrested by the Senate on Tuesday, September 7, after they failed to respond to invitations for them to shed light on the company’s transactions with the government.

The Senate blue ribbon committee is looking into the deficiencies in the use of pandemic response funds of the DOH, including the P8.68-billion supply contract awarded to Pharmally Pharmaceuticals Corporation. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo / SunStar Philippines)
