PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed five new officials to the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), press secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.Angeles said Marcos appointed Alexander Ramos as executive director V of the agency; Mary Rose Magsaysay as deputy executive director; Patricia May Abejo as director IV; Rojun Hosillos as director IV; and Alvin Miro Navarro as director IV.The CICC, an attached agency of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, is in charge of handling cybercrime cases being handled by the law enforcement and prosecution department.It also conducts international cooperation on intelligence, investigations, training, and capacity-building related to cybercrime prevention, suppression, and prosecution, among others.On Tuesday evening, Angeles also announced the appointment of Noli Eala, former commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association, as the new chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission.
