PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed television host and former news reporter Daphne Oseña-Paez as the new “press briefer” of Malacañang, Office of the Press Secretary officer-in-charge Cheloy Garafil announced on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
Garafil said Paez will be responsible for delivering news and information about the activities and projects of the President starting Tuesday, December 20.
Paez said she will be “the one who will regularly be the source of updates from the Palace.”
Paez is replacing former press secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, who stepped down from post in October, three months following her appointment, due to health reasons.
Garafil said Paez is a “champion of women’s and child’s rights.”
Paez graduated from the University of Toronto in Canada with a degree in fine arts and history and is currently enrolled for an advanced certificate on environmental management. (SunStar Philippines)
