GOING into the last month of the first 100 days of the Marcos administration, the Department of Health (DOH) has only reached 10 percent of the 23 million target number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) booster shots being administered.In its latest data, the DOH has only provided first booster shots to 2,411,703 individuals out of the 23 million target, as of September 8.This translates to a mere 10.48 percent of the target number for the first 100 days of the administration.The DOH reported that it was only at more than two percent from the over 1 million senior citizens to be inoculated during the same period.Data shows that the DOH vaccinated 27,907 senior citizens out of the 1.07 million target.This meant that the DOH had only reached 2.6 percent of the targeted senior citizens.On Thursday, September 8, DOH Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire said that given the current numbers, they can no longer reach their target by October 8.
