TWO of the 17 examinees who got the highest scores in the recently concluded Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) graduated from Cebu schools.

Ranked sixth in the October 2022 PLE with a rating of 87.50 percent was Sonny Cabahug Redula, who graduated from the Cebu Institute of Medicine, while Mark Johnuel Matabilas Duavis, of the University of Cebu College of Medicine Foundation Inc.-Mandaue, was among those who placed 10th with a rating of 87.08 percent.

The other examinees in the top 10 are:

The top performing schools in terms of the total numbers of examinees and the total number of passers were:

3. St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine William H. Quasha Memorial Inc. — 95.74 percent

6. University of Cebu College of Medicine Foundation Inc.-Mandaue — 93.94 percent

Out of the total of 5,958 examinees, the Professional Regulation Commission said 3,826 examinees passed the PLE held in October this year. (SunStar Philippines)
