About the Author
Müge Yücel, born in Germany to physician parents, earned a Marketing degree from Michigan State University (1999) and master’s degrees in International Management (2000) and International Finance (2001) from Walsh College.
Starting her career in the USA, Yücel gained experience in project finance, marketing, and consulting. In 2005, she founded Mediterranum AG in Berlin, focusing on assisted living facilities. She also launched a health tourism project. Returning to Turkey in 2008, she served as Investor Relations Manager at Dou Otomotiv (Volkswagen Group importer) for 14 years. Since 2021, she’s been Investor Relations and Sustainability Director at Galata Wind, Turkey’s first green IPO.
Yücel holds a Governance, Risk and Compliance Professional (GRCP) certificate and licenses in Capital Market Activities, Corporate Governance Rating, Derivative Instruments, and Credit Rating. She’s on the Editorial Board of *IR Magazine* and a Board Member of the Turkish Investor Relations Society (TUYID), also actively supporting the sector through organizations like the Corporate Governance Association of Turkey.
Ahead of MIFID II, she independently organized roadshows for foreign investors, raising company profiles internationally. She continues to contribute as a speaker, trainer, and mentor, advocating for digital transformation and AI in investor relations, emphasizing a proactive, strategic, and engaging approach.
